I drove over 1500 miles from Montana to Texas to view the total solar eclipse. This was an event that I had my doubts about capturing based on the decision of going to Texas to view it and the weather during the event. But it was an amazing journey and even though we didn't have perfectly clear skies for the eclipse...it was still amazing to see. This video is one of those happy accidents. While I was in Placerville California for Thanksgiving I hit up a couple of antique shops during the tree lighting celebration. Found a very interesting beer stein that used uranium in some of the glaze to give it a orange color. This was a common practice for a lot of ceramics during the late 1920's thru the 1940's.
